Dual
80mm Thermistor controlled fans speed up as heat increases
and will slow down as heat decreases. Noise rating of 9-17
dBA at 28-64 CFM of airflow = Silent and Powerful.
This system will replace the air in an average AV cabinet
6+ times per minute. You can easily set up to either blow
air in or exhaust out, or both if your cabinet is fully
enclosed. You can also place the fan(s) on the vents of
a component for direct cooling.
Expandable up to 4 fans.
Each fan has it's own thermistor probe (12" length)
that you position near the heat source for precision cooling.
Or can be located at the top of the cabinet for overall
temperature sensing.
The Multi fan controller has a 24" Thermal probe that
should be located the same way.
You should consider the heat source when deciding where
to locate the probes.
It
is best to locate the controller probe near the hottest
source.
The
ProCooL Multi fan controller will turn the fans on and off
at your desired temperatures. Set the controller start and
stop temps. When the start temp is reached the controller
will start the fans. The fans will then regulate their speed
as needed until the stop temperature is reached and then
the fans will shut off until needed again.
This chart shows the fan speed in relation to the temperature.
The
controller comes mounted in a 1U rack panel, pre-set to
start at 82*F and shut off at 80*F. This is a typical heat
range and works well with the thermistor fans. The large
blue LED display shows the current temperature in C or F
for easy monitoring.
The
laptop style power supply plugs into any standard 110VAC
outlet and is easy to stow away in your cabinet. Easily
connects to the controller with a quick connect molex plug.
The
ProCooL AVP systems are the "real deal" Temperature
controlled and speed regulated.
We call it the "Set and Forget" system. You can
leave this system on all the time to keep DVR's Satellite
receivers and other equipment cooled when idle as it can
still generate heat.
The
fans are easy to mount with included template and instructions.
The fans can be separated up to 24" or add more length
with optional extensions.
Extension power wires and Mounting plates are sold separately.
TIP:
Periodically you should remove the fan blades and clean
them. This will increase the life of the fan. Simply grasp
the blade prop with your fingers and pull straight out.
This requires removal of the fan guard. Depending on the
environment we recommend cleaning every 3-6 months.
